CamKix Launch Improved, Multi-Purpose, GoPro Flotation Device For Water Sports Enthusiasts

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 09, 2015 ) Portland, Oregon -- CamKix, an international retailer of action camera accessories, is set to launch a new and improved version of its popular GoPro bobber. The updated version of the product builds upon the successes of the original to make it an even more durable and convenient piece of kit for water-loving GoPro users.

"The primary purpose of the bobber is to keep your camera afloat if you lose your grip on it in the water." States Michael de Bruijn, CamKix's Head of Product Development. "However, after gathering feedback from action camera users, we realized it could be so much more." Following this customer feedback, CamKix has added two, major new features to its product: The first is a watertight removable cap, and the second is a textured silicone grip.

The screw cap on the base allows users to open up the body of the bobber to reveal a hollow compartment. This space is intended for storing small items such as spare GoPro thumbscrews, or for adding water to enable the bobber to achieve neutral buoyancy underwater. The advantage of having the camera remain neutrally buoyant is that it can stay suspended in water while users swim around it - hands free allowing for more freedom of movement and creativity within shots.

In order to increase the grip a user can have upon the bobber, and also decrease the chances of dropping it, CamKix has added a textured silicone covering on the shaft. The bobber can thus be used with confidence as a small monopod or hand grip. "The new grip system employed in this upgraded product will enable GoPro photographers to use their hand grips even during boisterous activities such as cliff jumping or water skiing." said de Bruijn. "The texture of the silicone covering makes the bobber much easier to hold on to, and will allow our customers to achieve some amazing shots."

The CamKix bobber will be available soon in the USA, UK and Canada via the Amazon marketplace and the CamKix official website.
